My life is finally falling into place! Brittany and I signed for an apartment on Wednesday, I found out I passed my boards today, and I'm leaving for vacation in destin tomorrow!!! Life is good. Now, just to find a job!!!

Whomp Whomp Whompppp
Okay, it's official, I SUCKKK at studying. It's becoming quite a problem! I have been so exhausted today though because I couldn't fall asleep last night... which was incredibly unfortunate! haha. After taking about 3 naps today, I finally got the motivation to go to Starbucks and take a practice test while drinking an iced tea.. nom nom! That is as far as I got today! Tomorrow Seth and I are taking a road trip to visit his grandma (who lives near Warren.. no idea where that is) and then heading to Findlay! Sunday is Kenzie's birthday and my parents, me, Seth, Kenzie and her boyfriend (whoop whoop), Taylor are all going to Soak City/ Cedar Point for the day!! Getting some use out of those passes!!! The big day, NCLEX day, is coming up soon; I am anxious, nervous, excited, and relieved all at the same time!
I made my first Etsy purchase last night at 1:30 am when I couldn't sleep! more craft supplies for me! YAY!
Also we found out that we did not get the apartment that we had applied for. HUGE bummer, Brittany and I both really liked it and it was a great location. I'm becoming more and more nervous about being homeless forever... really I can only handle living in a Frat house for so long. It's literally disgusting!!
Keep your fingers crossed for me and wish me luck... it's coming SOON!

Face Lift.. OoooLaLa
I decided it was about time to give my magnificent blog a facelift to make it look beautiful and new :) needless to say, it has been a long and stressful... morning?.. NO it's 4pm and I just finished! Crap. I meant to study this morning, I guess it will be a late night at the library for me!! Pretty soon I will not have to study any more (hopefully). So many people that I know have been passing their NCLEX, I am at the point where I am just ready to take the silly thing and be done with it. I'm PRAYING that I pass it the first time and don't have to study anyyyy more (for awhile at least :)..) I hope that you'll keep your fingers crossed for me too!! I absolutely cannot wait to go to Destin, Florida next week! It's going to be an amazing get away with BOTH of my parents. I am somewhat upset that I will be an only child on this vacation, but it might be fun just having both of my parents to myself for once (since I was 3! haha). I also just found out that my friend Ashley, who has been in just about all of my classes the past four years, is going to Destin the same time I am and not only that... but will be staying ONE MILE away from me!! I am SO excited and will definitely have to have me a little stroll down the beach to visit her... (maybe I'll be an amazing friend and deliver a pina colada..mmmm).
Last night/ Today I tried something with my hair that turned out amazing!!! I absolutely hate curling my hair because 1. it takes approximately 10 years, 2. it never ever stays and 3. I really haven't found a great method to curling my unruly, already wavyish curly hairs. Sound familiar? Well have no fear, there is a solution that literally takes 5 minutes and it WORKS. yes, you heard me right... it works! How you ask.... drum roll pleaseeee.. The Sock Bun Curls . (can I just say once more... THANK GOD for pinterest!) Here are my photos from the process (ps: sorry about the dirty mirrors... i live in a frat house):

NOW at 4 pm, and guess what folks, I forgot hairspray! |
Now I read that it was difficult to roll the sock into your hair if you have layers, which of course I do. I found it easier to flip my head over (so my hair is upside-down) and roll the sock from the bottom up to my scalp. It was so much easier than holding my hair up in the air and rolling the sock down, because my layers kept falling out! I am so happy with how this turned out!! YAY!
Also, the other day I made these coasters: I love love loooooove mod podge :)
Seth and I are going to dinner with his mom tonight at the Cheesecake Factory... YUM! well, I think that's all for now!! until next time.

dinner and a haircut
Last night I decided to make dinner for my wonderful boyfriend! He's on a health kick so I kept it simple with some chicken, veggies and a baked potato! Boy was it delicious and filling!
photos of my haircut, nothing too dramatic :)

Crafts galore!
As everyone knows I, like my mother, LOVE TO CRAFT! Lately I've been making anything and everything!! For fathers day Kenzie and I got our dad an antigravity chair and we decided to make him something also, so I went pinteresting!! And I came across THIS
Kenzie and I took the general idea and changed it up a little bit the finished product turned out great! We were really happy with it and billy loved it :)
Next came my moms birthday! We wanted to make something really special for her so we decided to make her personalized photo canvas. I found the tutorial Here!
These turned out great! The first one I made was super easy, Kenzie had a little difficulty with one. We figured out that if you put too much mod podge over the tissue paper the color comes right out of the photo. I also cut the tissue paper larger than 8 1/2 by 11 and taped the tissue paper on the back of a regular piece of paper! I also changed my printer setting to fine paper so the tissue paper didn't rip! Those couple changes made my life so much easier! She seriously loved these... Tears were shed! Haha
In addition to the canvases we made, I also made these beautiful candle holders, also found on pinterest! Here
Seth helped me with the spray painting and they also turned out amazing! I was so happy!!
Now that I was done with my gifts (for awhile) I decided to make myself a couple things :)
I have been wanting a maxi dress for quite awhile now, but because I'm cursed with these abnormally short legs, I can never ever find one that fits, thanks to, once again, pinterest, I found This pattern to make my own!
My mom and I made a trip to our favorite store, hobby lobby :) I found this adorable fabric and decided it would be great for my dress and I bought a $4 tank top from wal mart!
It took me a couple try's to get it perfect and the elastic thread was a pain in my behind, but the finished product turned out great! I can't wait to make another!!!
And finally, even though I am homeless and have no where to live next year, I'm of course thinking ahead and planning my bedroom! I wanted to make a pillow that would be the focal point and basis of my whole room, of course I found the perfect fabric at hobby lobby! These were Caiti inspired, no pinterest here folks :) they both turned out way better than I even expected! I am so proud of them :)
This weekend was the first time I used my sewing machine I got for Christmas and now I think I'm addicted, I want to make so many more things! I'm so so so happy with how everything turned out!! And I can't wait to make so many more things :)
Now I'm back in columbus and preparing myself for another busy couple weeks. Working two jobs, looking for a nursing job, looking for an apartment and studying for my boards is keeping me very busy!! I'm hoping that everything just works out in the end!! off to study!

Tuesday
I'm getting a little bored here in this tiny room all by myself. I got 'kicked out' of my house the evening of graduation and since I have a Kaplan NCLEX review class all this week, I'm staying at Seth's while he is in South Carolina with his dad and his sister! I thought, oh this will be relaxing time to myself... I quickly remembered I don't like ALL my time to myself!! I've been reading and I should be studying for the NCLEX, but after sitting in a class room for eight hours a day going over practice questions, that is literally the last thing I want to do!
Kenzie and I have some plans for a couple crafts and I cannot wait to post them soon!!
I don't have a whole lot to say, but one of my happiness project resolutions includes posting on my blog more often, so that's what I plan to do! :)

Sunday Funday
Well I officially just started my "happiness project". As of right now I'm keeping my whole project private until I figure out exactly what I want to do with it, but I finished Gretchen Rubin's book The Happiness Project and started to create my resolutions and commandments on happinessprojecttoolbox.com !!! I am really surprised at how easy it is to use so far! I cannot wait to start my resolutions, I really hope that I can keep up and manage to stick with it through the craziness that currently is my life!!
As you can see from my photosbelow above..... I am officially a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Nursing with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing!! :) I am a real grown up now, although it still hasn't hit me yet that I am no longer a college student! Shockingly, I managed to make it through the entire weekend without crying!! This is so unlike me, I'm a huge crier (thank you mother for that one), so this was a major accomplishment for me!! I think it got up to about 1,000,000 degrees at commencement today, but it was really special. Not only was this the 400th commencement at Ohio State, it was the largest graduating class and the LAST spring quarter graduation ever! So many exciting things! I am so happy that my parents, Kenzie, my Mamaw and Aunt Carol were able to come and share this amazing weekend with me! I am the first person in our immediate family to graduate from college!! Huge accomplishment and I am so proud of myself. It was a rough four years (especially the first two), but I stuck with it and made it! I am one happy girl!!
BUUUUT don't get too excited, the studying continues. I will be taking the NCLEX exam this summer in order to get my license to be a nurse in Ohio, so the whole 'I'm out of college and I never have to study again' excitement is nonexistent for me! sigh... I'm taking two classes to prepare myself for the exam. One is this week (starting tomorrow morning) and one next week, so I feel pretty confident that I will be able to do it and pass my first time (keep your fingers crossed!!) Seeing Caitlin D. Mellott RN, BSN will be totally worth all the hard work and extra studying!
Since I finished The Happiness Project I am going to start reading Fifty Shades of Grey... I am so very intrigued by this book and I decided I have to read it and formulate my own opinions about it instead of just listening to what everyone else has to say about it!
I have no idea why I'm still awake, this week/weekend has been completely exhausting! I can't wait for what comes next! WOOHOO

Convocation
Today was my Nursing commencement and pinning ceremony! I cannot believe how quickly this day came and it still doesn't feel like I'm actually getting my diploma in the morning. These past years have definitely been some of the most difficult/ challenging/ rewarding years of my life and I am really amazed that my time at Ohio State has come to an end. I don't think I've come to the full realization that I am no longer a college student, and luckily I still have Seth and Kenzie to live vicariously through! I am literally at a loss for words and I know even though sometimes (most of the time... Seth can second this) I am super stressed out about my next steps in live and often act like a crazy person, I really believe that everything will work itself out in the end!! Bring it!
